Small tools. No unnecessary friction.

boros.uk is a collection of small utilities built around a simple idea: useful tools should get out of your way.

No accounts for things that don't need accounts. No sending your text somewhere when the browser can do the work. No twenty-step interface for a one-step job.

Some tools solve annoyances I regularly run into myself. Others exist simply because I thought there was a nicer way to do something.

A little less friction.

I try to keep things local and private wherever practical, with simple interfaces and useful options rather than every possible option. Accounts, tracking and backend services aren't things to add just because they're available.

A tool should be quick to understand without losing all its personality. Getting the job done comes first; the small touches matter when they make using it a little easier or more pleasant.
